Our Story
Math Elites was founded by a small group of local California certified math tutors who spent years watching the same problem play out in their classrooms. Bright, capable students were falling behind in math, not because they couldn’t do the work, but because they were never given the time, attention, or teaching style they actually needed to understand it.
When the bell rang, those students were left behind, and the tutoring options their families turned to often made things worse instead of better. After seeing too many kids cycle through expensive franchises, unqualified peer tutors, and one size fits all online platforms, our founders decided to build something different. Math Elites was created to be the kind of tutoring our teachers wished existed for their own students.
Real educators, real lesson planning, real relationships with families, and real results. No shortcuts, no rotating tutors, and no treating kids like just another name on a roster. The problem we set out to solve is one that families across the Bay Area know all too well. Quality tutoring should not be a coin flip. Parents shouldn’t have to choose between paying premium prices for a brand name that delivers an average tutor, or settling for someone unqualified just because they’re affordable and available.
We built Math Elites to close that gap, pairing students with experienced, credentialed teachers who care about the outcome and have the classroom training to back it up. Today, Math Elites is a small, intentional team focused on doing one thing exceptionally well: helping students gain real confidence in math through real teaching. Every family we work with is treated like our only family, and every student we work with leaves stronger than they came in.
